Winter on a dairy farm presents a unique set of challenges that require dedication and hard work. As temperatures plunge, ensuring that the animals remain warm is a top priority. We provide extra bedding for our cows, creating a cozy environment that helps to insulate them from the harsh cold. In addition to bedding, hydration is crucial; animals need access to fresh, unfrozen water to stay healthy and maintain milk production. The labor-intensive nature of winter farming means that early mornings and late evenings become routine. Despite the difficulties, the bond between us and our animals strengthen, showcasing the resilience and commitment necessary to thrive in challenging conditions.
